Wn & Lower NI Branch Open Yoga Day. "Caring for Your Back" with Pam Crisp & Maurice Tuckwell

Caring For Your Back

 Guided by Pam Crisp

Pam will lead a session on looking after your back, combining gentle

movement, breathing, and exploration of ways we can support spinal and

whole body health, through yoga.

Pam has been practising and teaching yoga for many years, and

continues to be guided and influenced by the depth and beauty of this

ancient wisdom.

Please bring two or three firm blankets and a yoga belt to the session, if you have one.

GUESTSPEAKER: Maurice Tuckwell

Maurice Tuckwell graduated in 1985 with Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM ) and in 1990 a Diploma of Osteopathy,  is a registered Osteopath., and runs a busy practice in Mana, Porirua.

During the last 20 years he has combined the two systems and now specializes in Integrative Musculoskeletal Medicine.
His areas of interest are the treatment of chronic pain syndromes by re establishing  patients' functional relationship with gravity.

He also has a large paediatric practice treating newborns and infants with cranial Osteopathy.

Maurice has practiced Yoga and Qi Gong since 1975 and 1982 respectively.

He also is kept busy on his organic farmlet and completed a certificate in Biodynamic agriculture in 2007.

Date:      Sunday 15th August

 

Venue:    Buddhist Centre Wellington, 64 Cambridge Terrace, Wellington,

corner Cambridge Tce. and Fifeshire (next to Art for Art Sake)       (There is plentyof parking available in Cambridge Tce.)

 Time:     9:30 – registration  morning session with Pam to  begin at 10a.m   until 12:30 -LUNCH – afternoon session with Maurice  1:30p.m. until 3:30pm

  Cost:    $20 Non Members

                $15 Members          

 What to bring:  Bring along your yoga mat, blanket and any other props you require. Lunch will be a shared vegetarian pot-luck meal, bring your own    plate,  cup and eating utensils (Please remember to collect them afterwards).
