Theme: Evolving towards the light

This is an awesome, in depth and challenging course requiring commitment – your time, energy, participation in group process, and ability to connect with others in the course. It will stretch and challenge you to make a connection to the soul-light, and to learn what it means to be a Yoga practitioner at this time in human history.

The Course mission is to produce graduates with an in-depth grounding in Yoga, a Yoga-based awareness of current personal, national and planetary needs with the understanding and skills to meet these needs effectively

The Course picks up directly on the great challenges posed at the present time – understanding life’s purpose and sustainability of life on this planet. Major curriculum areas are:

1)      Major traditional yoga texts

2)      In-depth asana study and practice

3)      In depth study of subtle energy systems

4)      Meditation

5)      Yoga in the West

6)      The practice of living in the light

7)      Research paper

 

Pre-requisite: Graduated from IYTA (NZ) Inc., Teacher Training Diploma Course

Course outputs:

§         12 compulsory monthly assignments (completed in the first twelve months).

§         1 in-depth chakra manual.

§         1 research paper based on course theme (completed within the 18 months)

§         4 compulsory weekend workshops

 

Course Fees:

§         Basic course fee of $1200 – this is to paid in full on commencement of Course, or in four equal payments ($300 x 4) at regular intervals during the Course. Fee includes workshops.

§         Excludes personal travel costs to workshops, purchase of text books, resource materials, and recommended readings.

 

Where and When

§         Most likely Christchurch (depending on location of tutors and students)

§         Course commences with the first workshop in early 2008, and runs for 18-months.
